Today, the University of Primorska signed a letter of intent with the Italian high-tech company Technix S.p.A, which specializes in modern X-ray medical technology. In the letter, both partners affirmed their readiness to cooperate in various fields such as research and development, the establishment of joint research projects and training/educational activities, as well as the development of innovative products. Both partners committed to an exchange of experts as well as students, namely in the form of scholarships for UP students and regular exchanges of best practice among employees.
On behalf of the University of Primorska, the letter of intent was signed by its Rector, Prof. Klavdija Kutnar, who used this opportunity to emphasize the University's focus on cooperation with international partners regarding their involvement in study programmes, as well as research projects. »The University of Primorska seeks to establish cooperation with enterprises in the field of interdisciplinary scientific research. I am convinced that today we are witnessing the start of a productive cooperation,« said Prof. Kutnar.
The CEO of Technix S.p.a. Aniello Aliberti, who signed the letter of intent on behalf of Technix, pointed out the company’s history of working together with universities. »As a company that is a partner of some of the world's leading technology corporations, we strive for novel technological solutions and development. It is precisely these fields where we see an opportunity to cooperate with the University of Primorska,« said Aliberti. The representatives of the University also emphasized that the University of Primorska provides top knowledge in the fields of natural sciences and boasts state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, permitting it to design innovative research programmes and engage in exploring solutions for its business partners.
