The department is active in various fields of research. Among the main areas of research of the Department is to maintain the employment of older employees, evaluation of the labor market, education, and social policies. At the same time, we are dealing with the introduction of competency profiles and the introduction of changes in organizations. We are also interested in the positive aspects of how people work in the workplace, such as pregnancy, effective stress management practices and the introduction of modern leadership practices. Members of the department also study Islam, Western-Muslim relations, political issues related to the Middle East, broader international relations (such as strengthening the influence of the People's Republic of China), and political and security developments in Africa.
