Visit to the Jožef Stefan Institute

VISIT TO THE JOŽEF STEFAN INSTITUTE

On Friday, 15 September 2023, a meeting of researchers from UP (with InnoRenew CoE) and the Jožef Stefan Institute took place.

The hosts from IJS presented mainly in the fields of physics and reactor physics, electronics and information technologies, chemistry, materials and environmental sciences. Presentations of research work were followed by discussions on the possibilities of mutual cooperation in various scientific fields.

This was followed by a tour of some of the IJS laboratories and units - the Bio-Integrated Laboratory of the Photonics and Soft Photonics Group, the CEMM - Centre for Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis, the Ion Accelerator, the ICJT - Information Centre for Nuclear Technology, and the TRIGA reactor.

On the UP side, the meeting was attended by researchers from the University of Primorska and the InnoRenew CoE Institute, alongside the Rector and the Vice-Rector for Research and Development and representatives of the sector. They were received by the Director of the IJS and the heads of the centres and the researchers.
