>> Planner of University of Primorska for study year 2023/2023 <<
The University of Primorska is among the larger employers in the region. There are almost 700 of us, of which around 430 academics.
We perform very different tasks, from measuring stress relief to diving and issuing order forms. Possibilities in research are anyways endless.
The University of Primorska emphasises healthy work-place and safe working environment. Staff can join students in recreation under the SportUP activities, daily active breaks, healthy breakfasts or informal social activities.
The University of Primorska is preparing Human Resources Strategy for Researches and is already following the 40 principles of the Charter & Code.
UP is an inclusive academic community that provides equal opportunities for all stakeholders, regardless of their personal or social circumstances. In doing so, it contributes to building a just society, based on creating well-being for the individual, local and wider environment.
All staff is bound to follow The Code of Ethics. Its aim is to build and maintain high professional and ethical standards among members of the University community, strengthen loyalty, ensure the transparency and social responsibility of the University's activities, and encourage freedom of research, teaching, and learning, as well as promote a positive public image of the University.
Gender Equality Plan of the UP is an official UP document setting vision and mission in ensuring gender and other equalities. It stems from current situation analysis and defines measures to achieve strategic objectives in the field of equality policy.
Equality policy addresses all employees and students. Indirectly it also has an impact on the wider social environment.
Dedek Mraz: December is also a time for children to come together, including the children of UP employees. Visit of Dedek Mraz (Santa) is organised for the children of all employees at the same time.
The visit of the good man with a performance for children is marked by the involvement of UP employees and students. The role of real and traditional dedek Mraz (Santa) 2022 was excellently played by assoc. prof. dr. Stanko Pelc (UP FHŠ, UP Pef), and the theatre performance The Magic Hat was prepared and performed by UP Pef students, who engaged the children in active participation with the magical animals in the forest.
The event was also marked by charity, as the children brought to the event a contribution for the charity campaign of Radio Capris (Warm Heart Fridge), supported by UP - so they received and gave joy and completed the circle of December kindness.
