On 9 March 2016, Slovenian universities signed an Agreement on the exchange of students between Slovenian universities. The Procedure for the Implementation of the Student Exchange Agreement between Slovenian Universities was also adopted.
Under the national mobility programme, a student may complete part of his/her full-time study requirements in a related study programme at one of the other three universities instead of at the home university where he/she is enrolled on a full-time basis. The mobility must not be shorter than 3 months and not longer than 12 months and must be valued at a minimum of 15 ECTS per semester.
To apply, students must meet the following conditions:
Pre-agreed study requirements successfully completed at another university will be fully recognised at the home university.
In the case of student exchanges, the costs shall not be charged between the faculties, except where the student pays tuition fees at the home institution in accordance with the applicable tuition fees and fees schedule.
Charges may be applied for costs such as the issue of a student card, the cost of a fourth or further examination in the same subject, the cost of board examinations and other costs to be charged in accordance with the Fees and Fees Schedule for the current academic year.
Students must submit their application to a member of their home university (i.e. the university at which they are enrolled) by 15 May for the winter semester and 15 November for the summer semester. The application includes an application form (application or exchange request), a study agreement and a certificate of completion of examinations (from the home university).
