Enrolment for foreign citizens

Foreign citizens and Slovenes without Slovene citizenship may apply to enrol at the University of Primorska in accordance with the requirements and criteria stipulated by:

• Higher Education Act (Zakon o visokem šolstvu)
• Rules on Studies Pursued by Foreign Citizens and Slovene Nationals without Slovenian Citizenship in the Republic of Slovenia (Pravilnik o študiju tujcev in Slovencev brez slovenskega državljanstva v Republiki Sloveniji)
• Statute of the University of Primorska (Statut Univerze na Primorskem)
• Pre-enrolment Announcement for the 2021/2022 Academic Year (Razpis za vpis v študijskem letu 2021/2022)
• Rules on pre-enrolment announcement and enrolment in higher education (Pravilnik o razpisu za vpis in izvedbi vpisa v visokem šolstvu)

General information on the enrolment procedure

• Apply for enrolment places for foreign citizens published in the Call for Enrolment (in the table: Enrolment Places for Foreign Citizens and Slovenians without Slovenian Citizenship at the University of Primorska)
• 15 February to 21 May (in the First application term), from 28 may to 21 July (in the Second application term), 9 August to 3 September (in the Third application term). Candidates fulfilling the entrance requirements may apply for the remaining free enrolment places at higher education institutions from 23 to 24 September 2021;
• Upload to the evš portal the required evidence:
  • scanned final certificate of four-year secondary school
  • scanned transcripts for the last two years of completed secondary school
  • decision of the recognition of foreign certificates or decision of nostrification (recognition of degree from a foreign university)

Foreign citizens with permanent residence in Slovenia who (or whose parents) are taxpayers in Slovenia and citizens of the European Union are subject to the same application procedure as citizens of the Republic of Slovenia.
