ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Foreign citizens and Slovenes without Slovene citizenship may apply to enroll in the 1st year of undergraduate study programmes, provided that they have:

  • completed four-year secondary school
  • passed the Slovene language examination (if required by the study programme)
  • completed the education recognition procedure for academic purposes or completed the recognition procedure for secondary school certificates
  • passed the test of artistic aptitude or psycho-physical capacity (if required by the study programme)

Enrolment requirements for individual study programmes are listed in the Pre-enrolment Announcement (available only in Slovene).

APPLICATION

Foreign citizens with permanent residence in Slovenia who (or whose parents) are taxpayers in Slovenia, and citizens of the European Union are subject to the same application procedure as citizens of Slovenia.

SCHEDULE FOR APPLICATION 2018/19

FIRST APPLICATION TERM FOR ENROLMENT

Candidates for enrolment can apply from 6 February to 25 May 2018.
The application for enrolment can be submitted electronically on the government web portal eVŠ. The candidate must generate a username and password.

Each candidate may submit only one application.

After completing the application electronically, the candidate must print and sign the application. Candidates must send the signed application with the required enclosures by registered mail to the following address:

N.B. Application with a digital certificate is possible only for Slovene citizens.

SECOND APPLICATION TERM FOR ENROLMENT

Candidates for enrolment can apply from 28 May 2018 to 20 July 2018.

The application for enrolment can be submitted electronically on the government web portal eVŠ. The candidate must generate a username and password.

Each candidate may submit only one application.

After completing the application electronically, the candidate must print and sign the application. Candidates must send the signed application with the required enclosures by registered mail to the following address:

THIRD APPLICATION TERM FOR ENROLMENT

Candidates for enrolment can apply from 13 August 2018 to 14 September 2018.

The application for enrolment can be submitted electronically on the government web portal eVŠ. The candidate must generate a username and password.

Each candidate may submit only one application.

After completing the application electronically, the candidate must print and sign the application. Candidates must send the signed application with the required enclosures by registered mail to the following address:

SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION TERM FOR ENROLMENT

Candidates for enrolment can apply from 26  to 27 September 2018.

 

EVIDENCE OF FULFILMENT

First application term for enrolment:

  • candidates who have already completed secondary school must send all the evidence with the First Application for Enrolment in the First Year by 25 May 2018 at the latest


Second application term for enrolment:

  • candidates who apply to the second application term must send all the evidence with the Second Application for Enrolment in the First Year by 20 July 2018 at the latest


Third application term for enrolment:

  • candidates who apply to the third application term must send all the evidence with the Third Application for Enrolment in the First Year by 14 September 2018 at the latest

 

Candidates must send notarized copies of final certificates for the selection procedure. Other certificates may be original forms.

All certificates (final certificate of four-year secondary school, certificates for the last two years of completed secondary school), except bilingual ones, must be translated into Slovene by a court translator and the original of the certificate or diploma must be legalized on the basis of:

  • The 1961 Hague Convention (at the court with territorial jurisdiction where the certificate or diploma has been issued), with the properly filled-in apostille form affixed, or
  • the Authentication of Documents in International Traffic Act

 

Candidates must send evidence of fulfillment and other requested documentation:

1.  Final certificate of four-year secondary school
2.  Certificates for the last two years of completed secondary school stating general learning success for individual years
3.  Decision on the recognition of certificates obtained abroad (if the candidate doesn`t have the decision yet, than the legalized original final certificate is required in order to recognise the previous education) 
4.  Certificate for the Slovene language examination (if the study programme requires it)
