- First students return to the university next week!
On 25 January new measures to prevent the COVID-19 disease will be in place. They enable the gradual return of students to the university premises.
We will first welcome students of some programmes from the UP Faculty of Health Sciences, who will start with laboratory exercises next week. The Student office will send more information and adapted schedules to them.
Generally, laboratory exercises and individual work with students are allowed at the university premises from next week onwards. All students will be receiving information on schedules and obligations from student offices of their faculties.
All teaching staff will be tested with Rapid antigen tests before they commence their teaching obligations. The university is making arrangements with testing providers. Staff will receive specific information with times and locations of testing via e-mail. Tests will follow the return to the university premises and will be scheduled weekly. Only staff who will be teaching in a specific week at the university premises will be tested. The number of tests will grow gradually with the same pace as the teaching in university lecture rooms.
The Rector of the university adopted a new decision on active measures. New guidelines on working at the university premises have been published as well and can be found here. The approach to work is not significantly different from how we were working in October.
We are very happy that student life is returning in our buildings and we hope that we will soon be able to welcome all students!
