Centre for Development and Knowledge Transfer (CRPZ)

The Centre for Development and Knowledge Transfer (CRPZ) is an organizational unit of the University of Primorska (CRPZ UP) in the role of the Technology Transfer Office.

It identifies the potential of the members of the university to cooperate with the economy and, through its activities, encourages researchers to form joint projects with companies. At the same time, it takes care of the management of UP intellectual property rights and internal procedures for setting up spin-off companies. It carries out different support activities linking the university to the economy, through the implementation of national and international projects for the introduction and implementation of technology transfer services and commercialization. It is responsible for the professional growth of employees, raising awareness of the importance of intellectual property protection, strengthening that protection, improving the quality of technology transfer services, and boosting the University's visibility through promoting creative work and the marketing of inventions.

The goal and mission of CRPZ UP is to create links and effective synergies between the university's educational and research capacity and the economy through a comprehensive range of support services, led by the transfer and marketing of UP technology know-how.
