On Friday 23 June 2023, the last workshop of the pilot implementation of the Training Programme for the Use of Digital Technologies in Higher Education Teaching (Digital PAI), which aims to train higher education teachers and staff in the meaningful use of modern digital technologies to improve the teaching and learning process, concluded. The programme consists of five modules, namely (1) Teaching with Learning Management Systems, (2) Digital Technologies for Didactic Support of Learning and Teaching, (3) Digital Technologies for Support of Organisational Processes and Communication, (4) Digital Technologies for Support of Research, and (5) Online Safety and Protection of Intellectual Property.

Quiz-based Assessments and Managing Asignments and Assesments in the Moodle Learning Management System
During the workshop led by Associate Professor Dr. Stanko Pelc, which took place from 6 to 20 April 2023, participants learned how to create question categories, edit question types, create quizzes with randomly selected questions, create assessment activities with H5P tools and learnt about the different ways of calculating the overall grade in Moodle.
Designing and Preparing Graphic and Video Presentations in Canva
The workshop, which took place between 12 April and 17 May 2023 led by Asst. Lovrenc Habe, the participants were trained to create their own graphic and video content to be included in their teaching materials. They learned about the features of the Canva web tool and how to create different content.
Basic Editing of the E-classroom, Adding Resources and Communicating with Students in the Moodle Learning Management System
The workshop, which took place between 11 and 25 May 2023 and was led by Senior Lecturer Andreja Klančar, trained participants in basic editing of the e-classroom, i.e. opening and using blocks, editing sections, changing basic e-classroom settings, adding resources and communicating with students using the system's messaging, forums, chat, etc.
Copyright in Education and Protection of Personal Data
At a workshop held from 13 to 20 June 2023 under the guidance of Dr. Martina Kovačič Kuzmić, the participants were trained in the normative frameworks of copyright and personal data protection, identification of copyrighted works and the correct use of such works in the educational process, knowledge and use of free licences, understanding of the concept of privacy and privacy protection, understanding of the concept of personal data and rights, rights of the person whose personal data is collected, the distinction between the collection of personal data by law and by personal consent, the content and elements of informed consent for the processing of personal data, and how to comply with the protection of personal data in specific situations in the educational process.
Creating Engaging Learning Materials Using the Moodle Learning Management System Tools
During the workshop, which took place between 26 May and 12 June 2023 under the guidance of Associate Prof. Dr. Stanko Pelc, Associate Prof. Dr. Sonja Rutar and Senior Lecturer Dr. Andrea Klančar, participants learned how to create simple web pages using the Page activity, how to edit Books and how to create interactive learning materials in the online classrooms of the Moodle Learning Management System.
Digital Tools to Support Academic Writing (online dictionaries and translators, tools for linguistic revision of texts and tools for reference editing)
The workshop, which took place from 2 to 23 June 2023 under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Mojca Žefran and Dr Saša Planinc The participants were introduced to various tools to help them write and translate scientific texts into English, learn how to use or improve their knowledge of various online dictionaries and compilers, the Chat GPT language model and the Grammarly application. The workshop also taught participants how to use literature editors.
The project is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU. The project is implemented in accordance with the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) under the development area Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, component Strengthening competencies, in particular digital competencies and those required by the new professions and the green transition (C3 K5), for the investment measure Investment F. Implementation of pilot projects, the results of which will serve as a basis for the preparation of a roadmap for the reform of higher education for a green and resilient transition to a Society 5.0: project Pilot Projects for the Reform of Higher Education for a Green and Resilient Transition.
