Dr. Valentina Brečko Grubar became a member of the Council for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection
At the beginning of January, the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Slovenia established the Council for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection, in which Assoc.Prof. Dr. Valentina Brečko Grubar from the Department of Geography of UP FHŠ also became a member. The Council acts as an advisory body to the Minister and is composed of a total of 14 experts in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development.
The Council adopts positions and gives opinions and initiatives on:
- the situation and trends in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development at home and abroad;
- strategies, programmes and plans in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development;
- the legislative framework for environmental protection and sustainable development;
- the activities of the State and municipalities in relation to environmental protection and sustainable development;
specific pressing environmental pollution and sustainable development issues; - public initiatives.
