Numerous visitors to the New European Bauhaus Academy for Sustainable Built Environments with Renewable Materials (NEBAP Hub)

On Tuesday, 17 October 2023, within the framework of the Green, Digital and Inclusive University of Primorska (GDI UP) project, we welcomed a large number of visitors to the InnoRenew CoE to see the premises and the operations of the Centre of Excellence for Research and Innovation in Renewable Materials and Sustainable Construction (InnoRenew CoE), where the New European Bauhaus Academy for Sustainable Built Environments with Renewable Materials (NEBAP Hub) operates.

The participants were welcomed by the Rector of the University of Primorska, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar, and then the Director of the InnoRenew CoE, Prof. Dr. Andreja Kutnar, presented the NEBAP Hub, which operates on the premises of the Institute and focuses in particular on regenerative and inclusive spaces that reduce environmental impacts through decarbonisation and lead to positive social and economic impacts, including health and well-being.

The event took place as part of UNI.MINDS, Slovenia's largest festival for building innovation communities and partnerships between academia and business, which this year took place across Slovenia from 16 to 25 October and is aimed at the most curious, innovative and forward-thinking researchers, students, companies and decision-makers.

The project Green, Digital & Inclusive University of Primorska (GDI UP) is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU. The project is implemented in accordance with the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) under the development area Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, component Strengthening competencies, in particular digital competencies and those required by the new professions and the green transition (C3 K5), for the investment measure Investment F. Implementation of pilot projects, the results of which will serve as a basis for the preparation of a roadmap for the reform of higher education for a green and resilient transition to a Society 5.0: project Pilot Projects for the Reform of Higher Education for a Green and Resilient Transition.
