- Exhibition of students of the Institute of Visual Culture of Nyiregyhaza University
From April 22, 2024, an exhibition by students of the Institute of Visual Culture of Nyiregyhaza University will be held in the new premises on Čevljarska Street in Koper.
Electron, the new creative center of the Visual Arts and Design program (VUO), hosts an exhibition by students of the Institute of Visual Culture of Nyiregyhaza College from Hungary. The Honorary Consul of the Hungarian Embassy in Slovenia, Ms. Andrea Földvári-Oláh, was also present at the opening.
"With the occasional exhibition, we have further opened up mutual contacts within the framework of Erasmus and other bilateral agreements. The student exhibition brings only a fraction of the highly interdisciplinary production, but with its enthusiasm and flexible adaptability it tries to compete with the venerable old studies in the field of art," said Associate Prof. Jiri Kočica from the VUC study program, who prepared the exhibition together with the visiting professor from Hungary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tibor Zielinski. In their speech, the two professors emphasized their long-standing collaboration and expressed their hope for future creative work.
The exhibition, which is characterized by the presentation of students of the study program, which follows an interdisciplinary concept and is based on the foundations of contemporary artistic practices, was also addressed by the Dean of UP PEF, Prof. Dr. Mara Cotič, and the Rector of UP, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar. They emphasized the importance of the artistic study program in higher education, which is followed by the Faculty of Education, which has launched a new Master's program in Fine Arts and Design in the new academic year, within the framework of which students can become even more artistically independent and choose their own creative path.
