- UP PEF: A NEW SCIENTIFIC MONOGRAPH
The renowned publishing house Verlag Dr. Kovač has published a new scientific monograph entitled Classroom climate: student and teacher perceptions, which is one of the results of the research project Education of theachers as a factor of providing high-quality life-long learning in the learning society / the society of fast socio-economic changes and unsure future (ARRS-J5- 9328).
The theoretical part of the monograph focuses on the role of the school in creating a stimulating learning environment, with an emphasis on different levels of interaction: between students, between students and teachers, between teachers,and between teachers and other employees. The role of the school and classroom climate is also emphasized. The empirical part presents the results of a study, which included 1.531 students and 348 teachers who teach in public schools in Slovenia and whose goal was to determine how students and teachers experience the role of interpersonal relationships in teaching and learning.
The authors of the monograph are researchers from UP PEF: Sonja Čotar Konrad, Mara Cotič, Darja Felda, Jurka Lepičnik Vodopivec, Amalija Žakelj and Tina Štemberger, and from UL PEF Milena Valenčič Zuljan.
